LG’s new Android powered Smart watch is the next
revolution that will empower your usage of mobile phone on your
wrist. It is very surprising to find the effortlessness of the
design; said a team of hackers, who revealed a few special features.
We might witness the birth of the smart watch revolution. Google has
unleased not one, not two, but three smart watches onto the
battlefield.
The site provided
watch a reparability score of 9 out of 10 (10 is laid-back to repair)
for reasons being:
- Screws and spring contacts mean the rear case is super easy to eradicate.
- The battery consists of a lone Phillips screw and minimal adhesive, making replacement easy.
- Not the easiest watch band to remove, but an old standard that should not pose much of a risk to band-replacers.
- It consists of a clean design with few delicate cables and connectors that means a healthier, repair-ready device.
The watch was disclosed by Google at its developer
conference in San Francisco. The firm depicted state-of-the-art
watches that are running Android wear, a version of Android designed
for wearable computers.
According to David Singleton from Google, “It’s
finally possible to make a powerful computer small enough to wear on
your body”. It displayed LG G watch that showcases the users the
most relevant alert at the time for example; a flight they are about
to get or an upcoming meeting.
Google also exposed apps for its watches including a
food ordering app that enables users to order favorite food reliably
from their wrist, and a recipe app known as allthecooks that walks
users through recipes on the watch face.
According LG G Watch would primarily be accessible
to 13 countries including US, UK, France, Germany and Japan adding
that it would publicize its price and shipping date. According to Dr.
Jong-seok Park, President and CEO of LG, “As one of the first
Android Wear devices to market, we see this as the beginning of a
long-term commitment to making wearables running Android Wear a
household name”
The other features of the G watch include a square,
2-inch display and runs Android wear – a rationalized version of
Google’s existing operating system seen on phones and tablets. LG
also showed that the watch is waterproof, feature voice controls that
assist Google Now and can be synced with different range of LG
smartphones.
