What an app developer must focus on before Beginning with a development?

The last 5-6 years made it evident for all that that app marketplace has literally grasped the mobile world – alongside having the web-world already clasped in its claws. Be it Android app or an iOS app, users now prefer to use apps rather than websites to get easy access to a service, game or a utility – and the horde of others that have been highlighted in the image cited below.
That is the major reason why, existing companies started to have apps for their websites (and services) and so have rendered in a major boost in the revenue sheets of iOS as well as Android apps development services in India and that of many countries – featuring talented developers and proven record of excellence.
But – as a business or a developer – one must know what it takes to begin with an app development process. One should be doubly sure about the factors that regulate success of the app!
Here, in this article we have detailed on a few points on which an app developer (or a business seeking an app) should focus before starting the development.
  • Speed matters: Now, one can find many apps giving same kind of service, but ultimately that app sustains which has the speed. Users should not wait too much for the app to load; otherwise that app will be certainly deleted by the user.
  • User friendliness: Every successful app is almost certain to be a user-friendly app. An android app company or any app company is always praised, when its product has beautiful User Interface (UI) and easily locatable and navigable menus.
  • When an iOS or android app development company update their apps, the user should not find it too difficult to cope up with the updated version. The main/basic structure should bear similarity (at least at the front-end) to previous version; and keeping similar ‘feel’, new features should be added.
  • One of the main drawbacks of an app is that it eats up the battery of the device very rapidly. So iOS or android app companies or any other should develop the app in such a way that it takes minimum battery to run.
  • An app which interacts nicely with the device environments is always a plus. For example, Instagram app has a very good feature of saving images directly into the “Photos” folder of device. So a user don’t have to always access the app to view Instagram images, rather he/she can view Instagram images from gallery itself.
  • Data distribution to the app should be intelligent enough so that users should not find it as a bottleneck, also the travelling of the data across the app should be very lightweight.
As the time is changing the expectation of the user is also changing. It is pretty tough for an app developer to live up to the expectations of a user – given there are so much of possibilities (read, options) around! App development companies should constantly take user surveys to be always with the know-how of users’ expectations. An app developer and the business that is to use the app should think from user point of view and develop accordingly.
